The Escondido Union High School District is delighted to announce YUN LUTGEN has been selected as the 2016 TEACHER OF THE YEAR. A math teacher in the district since 2005, Yun has served as the Math Department Chair multiple times while at San Pasqual High School. She takes great pride in continually working to improve her teaching style by incorporating elements from professional development and collaborating with other staff to support student learning. Yun’s classroom reflects her personal resilience, stamina and drive as she actively engages students in the learning process. She is also the founder and advisor for the award winning San Pasqual FRC Team 3255, The SuperNURDs (Never Underestimate Robotic Domination).
